Two honest options
Reweave rebuilds the missing knots into the original foundation. It is labor-heavy and is the right choice when the rug’s value (or the owner’s attachment) justifies the hours.
Patch inserts a compatible piece. It is faster and kinder to the budget. The art is in the match—color, weave, and pile height—and in finishing the join so it doesn’t catch a vacuum.
We put both numbers on the table. The client picks. If your rug has a chew, a burn, or a furniture bite, don’t throw it out on sight. A photo and a measurement often tell us whether we’re in patch territory or reweave territory before the truck comes.
