While you wait
Blot with white cloth. Lift the cushion if you can and blot the deck. Don’t rub. Don’t use club soda on silk or rayon. Don’t aim a hair dryer at a wet silk stripe.
What we check
Cleaning code, trim, wood stain on the frame, and whether the fabric crocks (color coming off on a white cloth). Enzyme chemistry that is kind to wool rugs can still be wrong for a silk damask. If the sofa is too fragile to wet-clean, we’ll tell you and talk limited spotting instead of a full extraction.
When you are ready for a real reset, start with upholstery cleaning.
