Bathroom floors around the tub, toilet, and sink collect a crust: minerals from the water, soap residue, and whatever walks in from the hall. In this part of Arizona, hard water is not a rumor.
What vinegar can and cannot do
A vinegar wipe can help a smooth glazed tile. It is a weak, slow attack on grout pores and on textured floors. Overused acid also etches natural stone and some cementitious grouts. If you have marble, travertine, or a mystery “stone look,” don’t start with acid.
Our usual path is a soil-specific pre-spray, agitation that matches the tile, and hot water extraction so the minerals leave instead of drying back onto the surface. Neglected grout is a bacterial sponge; regular maintenance plus a sealer after a real clean is how you stop living with a gray grid.
If the film is mostly on glass and chrome, say so when you book. That’s a different job than the floor.
When you are ready for a real reset, start with tile and grout cleaning.
